Port Arthur Day Tour

Take a day out to visit one of Tasmania's hot spots - Port Arthur as well as the photogenic Tasman Peninsula.

Departing from Hobart, spend some time exploring the fascinating ruins of the Port Arthur historic site. This famous attraction is a must for those interested in the way Australia was settled originally as a penal settlement. Learn about the life of a convict in a place once considered Hell On Earth. Take the opportunity while you're there to view the site as the convicts once did - from aboard a cruise boat on the harbour and see the tiny convict cemetery island where the prisoners were buried.

Lunch is your own arrangements - bring your own or purchase something from one of the cafes at Port Arthur.

During the afternoon enjoy the spectacular coastline of the Tasman Peninsula with fluted sea cliffs and stunning beaches. Enjoy a short walk around the area and don't forget your camera. We will then board the bus to make our journey back to Hobart.
